Client: CTS International
Project: new website
Akira Studio have worked with global organisations and with companies in highly niche markets, but CTS International is the ultimate blend of both!
The Norway-based company designs training exercises and scenarios for the defence and civil industry, in particular for NATO. CTS International helped create the complex scenarios for some of the biggest multi-agency exercises in the history of NATO, Trident Juncture 15, which brought together military and NGOs (non government organisations) such as USAID, UNICEF and the EU.
One website, two target audiences
The challenge was to create a website that appealed to military and civil clients. In the home page, clients can choose from Defence Services or Corporate Services, or scroll down to view probably the coolest front page video we have ever put in place!
The Home page text below the video provides more detail, and incorporates researched keywords for better ranking and SERPs results. These carefully researched, cross industry keywords ensures the website can be found in searches using both military and civilian terminology.
Front page background image
On of the biggest design challenges was the home page background image. Again, it needed to appeal to both markets, and emphasis the extensive, in depth knowledge, experience and expertise within CTS International. After much discussion with the client and several design drafts, the current close-up image of a chess board was chosen and refashioned as a monochrome image, for a dramatic image encompassing both strategy and planning.
- Split website structure separating two major markets
- In-depth keyword research to identify search terms unique to both marketplaces
- Full use of exceptional quality images and video
- Delicate balance of client confidentiality and case studies to establish credentials
